Teddy Wolfe

Teddy D. Wolfe, a lifelong native of Orangeburg County resides in Branchville with his wife, April and their two boys, Trevor and Tucker.
Chief Wolfe holds a Bachelors Degree in Fire Science through Columbia Southern University, an Associate Degree in Fire Science through Trident Technical College, certification as a National Registry Paramedic and is a Certified South Carolina Fire Marshal. Chief Wolfe is a member of several State and National Fire Associations, including South Carolina Fire Chiefs, South Carolina Firefighters, South Carolina Fire Marshal, International Association of Fire Investigators, International Association of Fire Chiefs, and National Fire Protection Association. In 2011, Chief Wolfe was recognized by the Health Care Heroes organization, this award honors professionals who show exemplary performance in their respective field. Most recently, he completed a one-year leadership program through the South Carolina Firefighters Association Leadership Institute.
Chief Wolfe joined the United States Navy after high school and was stationed homeport in California onboard USS Essex LHD-2 where he served as a shipboard firefighter. Upon his completion of Naval service, he returned to Orangeburg. Chief Wolfe began his civilian career with Orangeburg County 911 and later advanced to Paramedic Crew Chief with Orangeburg County EMS.
January 16, 2000, Chief Wolfe became the third paid staff with Orangeburg County Fire District. This newly created fire district was created by Orangeburg County Council to establish a district-wide fire service. Upon hire, Chief Wolfe was tasked to improve the fire department’s ISO ratings. Sixteen years later, he serves as Orangeburg County’s Director of Fire Services where he manages the the fire services office staff of 10 employees and the day-to-day administrative support functions of the district’s twenty–three fire stations, over 400 volunteers, and 167 fire apparatus'.
